OKAY. THATS IT. It looks as though I'm going to have to read the Twilight series. EVERY, and I MEAN EVERY blog I follow...all of the women are reading or have read these books. In my office, my coworkers are secretly reading them behind their computer screens...so Amber if you have fallen, I may have to succumb to them as well and see what all the hype is about!
Haha sorry!! Yes, you should succumb and get it over with!
I'm avoiding the Twilight series. The discussion today made me feel good about that decision. :) I'm just not interested in reading about a teenage girl being obsessed with a good vampire boy. I have a hard time getting into vampire stories, too. I love Buffy and Angel, and everything else seems so 2 dimensional in comparison to me.
One book series you two might like, if you haven't tried it before, is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldan. It's a historical fantasy romance (with more emphasis on the historical and romance, admittedly), and I can't put it down. I'm on the 5th book and love it. The characters are wonderful, the story is wonderful, the writing style is engaging. It's also aimed at adults, the main character at the start of Outlander is, I believe, 26 or 27.
I enjoyed the Twilight series, but I have to agree with amethyst- the Outlander series is GREAT!
Looking forward to the next show!
